Walking tour booklet for Haddington’s History Society.

Spring 2025

Last year I was asked by the Haddingon’s History Society to provide the design and illustrations for a walking tour booklet detailing the town’s history. This culminated in the recent publication, ‘Walk through history in the Royal Burgh of Haddington’.

The final product ran to 38 pages and contained 14 illustrations of Haddington’s more significant buildings and monuments. These were illustrated in fine liner pen which were then shaded digitally. I also produced simplified and annotated maps of the town centre that could be easily referenced by the reader.

I myself learnt a great deal about the town’s past, and for those with even just a passing interest Haddington I am sure this will prove a concise and entertaining guide.

Liaising closely with dedicated members of the Society I found the process to be a rewarding one, and look forward to future collaborations with Haddington’s History Society.
